Long ago, in a time forgotton

A rose grew, a beautiful yellow, wild rose...

Strong, joyful, and friendly was he, though he had many thorns, even he did not know them...

He later met another, a blue rose in a garden... So very beautiful, so very rare

How could this be? A blue rose shouldn't exist! Such beauty is not possible!

But there she was, as real as the morning sun, he fell for her so, He longed to meet her, but how could such a beautiful flower love such a wild weed?

He was scared, he was nervous, there she was, she smiled at him...

"Oh my beautiful rose" he said, how he longed to see her! But outside the garden he grew,  too scared to go inside...

One day he woke, to find her, outside the garden's gate, smiling at him!

The Yellow Rose smiled back, he finally had the chance he dreamed since he saw the blue flower, the rare flower

Many days and months have passed, they laughed, they joked and  played games, and wove such wonderful riddles, for you see, not to many know this, but flowers,  they are fond of riddles, though you cannot hear them...

But one day, a terrible day....was the day he discovered his thorns, such sharp thorns they were, he was upset, he got curious...He looked in the garden, and saw another flower, what did he feel? Jealousy? Rage? Anger? No....He felt pain, for the first time....He told her what he saw, and hurt her afterwards...For he was mixed up, he misunderstood, she still loved him, and he still loved her, but he let his worry take over, he let his curiosity take over, and he paid the price dearly....He hurt her with his thorns, those horrible thorns, she started to wilt, as did he, she was innocent, and he was the weed...He longed to help her, he wants so badly to heal her...

The next day, he looked into the pond, nearby his home...but he no longer saw a rose, only a yellow weed, for that is what a wild rose is, or so he believed...

He saw his reflection, and sadly he spoke "What have I done, What can I fix, my blue rose is dying, because of my thorns....

He soon started to wilt as well...Who could ever love a weed?

The next day, to his surprise, she appeared by him, one more time..His wonderful, beautiful blue rose...

"My yellow rose" she said...."I forgive you...But can you forgive me as well?"

He gratefully accepted, and he immediately forgave her "Alas" he said, "Nothing was your fault, I was the one who stung with my thorns, for I am no rose, but only a weed....Who could forgive a weed...." He was so very sad, even after she forgave him...

But then she spoke. "My yellow weed, You have indeed hurt me with your thorns, but I forgive you anyway...But you must change, if you want to bloom, you must change, If you are to be a rose once more, you MUST forgive yourself, and you MUST change, not just for me, but for the entire garden"

So much emotion stirred in him, he still loved her, yet he still hated himself...he saw she was wilting as well, and he immediately made up his mind.

"Oh my Blue Rose, so rare is your beauty, so kind is your heart...Your heart full of love, thank you for your forgiveness,  though I make no promises, not any longer,  I WILL change! I WILL be the rose I once was! Not only for you, not only for the Garden, but for myself as well!

Once he said those words, something changed, before either of them knew, something in his heart changed, he was still a weed, but he had the heart of a rose once more.

He vowed that he would change, for he believed, only then would he deserve the love of his wonderful blue rose, the rose of kindness and love, his wonderful rose princess, though he knew well, one more thorn, she may well wilt, and he would never get her back, the very thought terrified him to the roots....Will he gain back the trust, and the love of his blue rose? Would he ever be a rose, once more? He does not know, but he refuses to give up, for he knew he must change, he must be a rose again

They hugged, and forgave each other, and lo and behold, she felt no thorns, just the embrace of her dear friend, the rose who became a weed, despite what happened, he smiled.

He smiled, once more and said " I will become a rose again, on that I shall swear" And he hugged her once more, in tears....

In the garden, a Gardener saw an amazing thing, a rose and a weed, and smiled, as he walked away to tend to the others, for he had faith, that the weed could become a rose, a very, beautiful rose indeed
Thank you all for the wonderful words, since this had such positive feedback....I have decided to re-upload this as a deviation instead of a journal, so please enjoy....Your kind words really meant a lot to me, especially from the friend I made it for....So again, thank you all...And please enjoy. :)
